480MW!VERSOLSOLAR assists State Power Investment Corporation’s Xinjiang Corps 1st Division 10th Regiment photovoltaic project to successfully connect to the grid and generate electricity

This project is one of the first batch of large-scale scenery base construction projects issued by the state to focus on desert, Gobi and desert areas in Xinjiang. The project is located near Huangshaliang, Regiment 10, Alar City (First Agricultural Division), Aksu Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The DC side installed capacity is 480 megawatts per peak, the altitude is about 1,050 meters, and the project covers an area of about 12,700 acres. The project makes full use of the abundant solar energy resources in the city. After being connected to the grid for power generation, it will produce 650 million kilowatt hours of green electricity every year, save 203,400 tons of standard coal every year, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 538,900 tons. It will effectively improve the utilization rate of green power and lay a solid foundation for building a new power system and promoting high-quality energy development in the city.
